"Saved By the Shrink will be the next big hit for ABC. It showcases a realistic approach to finding what so many people these days are trying to find: Happiness. Willy's character can directly relate to everyone that watches. Though I have only seen the first episode, this show looks like it is bound to be the next big thing for ABC, and I will be stunned if this show is not picked up for a second season."

"Saved By the Shrink looks like one of those shows that’s worth going out of one’s way to find. Gradually, the show uses various devices, jumping ahead and back, to establish a broader framework of characters and settings. Saved By the Shrink takes many chances, pushing boundaries without tumbling over them taste-wise. The episodes and narrative arc are structured in a more ambitious way than initially meets the eye. Not only do individual chapters start with some enormous foul-ups and then go back to illustrate how the family got there, but each event seems to blend into the structure of one of the several important plot lines.
